Club Competitions

These cups and trophies add a degree of fun and competition to our sport and give recognition of the skills needed.

The current competitions are:

AFAC vs NSFF Inter Club TrophyNoInter club competition run in conjunction with the North Shore Fly Fishers
President’s CupNoPresented by the President for outstanding service to the club.  (Presidents discretion)
The Rod and Reel fly-tying Challenge.Monthly fly-tying competition for novice and experienced fly-tyers.
The New Zealand Fishing News Literary Award.For the best original article in Riffles Magazine this season.
*All competition winners and trophies are announced and presented at the end-of-season function.

Complete the following form to submit your entry. Please include any photos you have of your catch.
(Note: You will need to use your Google login)

Rules
  • All financial members are eligible to enter
  • Enter as many competitions as you are eligible.
  • No entry form is required for: AFAC vs NSFF Inter Club Trophy, Fly Fishing Cup, President’s Cup, or any of the non-fishing competitions (ie: Fly Tying Trophy, Tisdall’s Cup, AFAC-Rod & Reel Fly Tying Challenge, NZ Fishing News Literary Award).

The AFAC Facebook members group is a space for members to share fishing stories and find a ride for the weekend’s fishing trips.
