Learn To Fish with us!

Our club runs monthly club trips. We can set you up with loan equipment and can help you get started with casting and techniques. Our trips are also a great way to get to know your fellow members and share the joy of being in some of New Zealand’s amazing places..

Brand new? When joining be sure to let us know, and we can arrange for one of our members to come out with you for a fish. They will help you get up to speed.

Member Benefits

The Club offers a range of benefits that allow you to experience the comradeship of flyfishing, the opportunity to enhance your own skills, and to share your own talents and knowledge.

Monthly Meetings

The Club meets on the second Monday of every month (except January). The meetings include a highly knowledgeable guest speaker and an update on club activities. We all enjoy a BBQ and drink beforehand.

Monthly Magazine

All members receive Riffles, the Club’s monthly electronic magazine giving an update on club activities, the occasional fishing fable, tips, and news, as well as other useful information. 

Fishing Trips

The Club organizes monthly fishing trips throughout the year. These trips are normally held on weekends and, depending on location, are either day trips or, more commonly, overnight.

Tips, Advice and Mentoring

Come and learn from some of the best anglers in New Zealand. We can help you – we can provide you with all the gear and tips you need to get started.

Turangi Club Lodge

The Club owns a well-maintained three-bedroom house in Turangi, sleeping up to 8, which is available for fishing club members at very reasonable rates.
